Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) has an immediate opening for a Truck Driver located in York . Position closes December 2, 2014 . Summary of Job duties : Safely operate tandem axle tractor truck with articulating crane or straight truck or pickup to deliver materials to NPPD storerooms and job sites statewide. Safely deliver construction and maintenance materials and equipment within NPPD service territory. Package and load materials to be hauled, unload materials delivered. This duty requires skilled operation of a tractor and trailer, forklifts and truck-mounted cranes. Perform other warehouse duties as required. Essential Functions of Position: Operate tandem axle tractor truck equipped with articulating crane, pulling 40/48 ft. high boy trailers, low boy trailers or pole trailers to deliver materials to NPPD storerooms and job sites statewide. This could include picking up materials from vendors. Some trips may require driving a straight truck or pickup. Package and load materials to be hauled, unload materials delivered. Safety is of the utmost importance. Support environmental standards for handling PCB and other hazardous wastes when preparing for shipment. Ensure that PCB and hazardous waste paperwork is accurate and complete before transporting the PCB materials. Operate warehouse handling equipment to include pickers, JCB telehander Forklift as well as wire take-off machine. Make supervisor aware of any vehicles or equipment that require attention to maintenance or repair. Work safely while following District policies and work procedures. Maintain a working knowledge of the safety manual and Warehouse forms. Prepare documents and reports to include timesheets, vehicle reports, load sheets and procurement card statements. Conduct inventory cycle counts and spot counts. Repackage and code material when appropriate. Clean bin locations, rotate/rearrange material and relocate material when appropriate and assist in investment recovery operations as requested, including processing and hauling recycle/salvage materials. Practice good housekeeping and report work areas that are unsafe or in need of housekeeping. Complete special assignments as requested by Lead Material Controllers as well as Materials Management Supervisor.
Qualifications: Education and Training: High school diploma or GED required. Licenses and/or Certifications Required: A valid CDL and proper endorsements are required. Prior Related
Experience: Previous work experience as an over-the-road truck driver would be helpful, but not required. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
