DescriptionThe Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) employs nearly 2,300 team members operating nine institutions, which house approximately 5,200 inmates, statewide.
The departments focus includes inmate programming and education, physical and behavioral health care, re-entry services, and community programs, and is accredited by the American Correctional Association (ACA).

Location:
NCCW - 1107 Recharge Rd, York, NE 68467Examples of WorkTeaches psychoeducational classes.
Interacts with inmates to instruct and orient to the Acute/Sub-Acute/Chronic-Care Units.
Provides verbal de-escalation for inmates in these units.
Provides input into individualized treatment plans.
Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings, staffing meetings, and informal consultations.
Attends Mental Health trainings, and any additional trainings deemed necessary for the position.
Assist with security procedures in Acute/Sub-Acute/Chronic-Care Mental Health Units.
Writes Incident Reports and Contact Notes.
Develops and implements Behavioral Baselines.
Reviews Individualized Treatment Plans to support goals and objectives.
Works under supervision and direction of the Mental Health Supervisor.
Qualifications / RequirementsREQUIREMENTS:
Associate's degree in criminal justice, behavioral science, human services or related field OR two years of experience working with persons referred through the legal system.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
No felony or domestic abuse related convictions.
OTHER:
Requires a valid driver's license to occasionally transport inmates.
Transcripts required at time of appointment.
Background security checks completed on top candidates.
Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the following pre-employment exams in this order:
medical exam, and at a randomly announced time pass a drug test.
Must successfully complete the fully paid Nebraska Corrections Training Program.
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMust be able to maintain confidentiality.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, hectic environment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
